Youth Groups

PLEASE NOTE: Youth Groups meet regularly during the school year, but sometimes take the summer months off due to vacations and church camp and other activities.  Please check with youth leaders for current schedule.   

Hardins Chapel is lucky to have not one but three youth groups: Mission Kids for the younger children, the Youth Group for the older youth and Team Kids for the youngest.  There are also a variety of activities throughout the year both connected with and independent of the youth groups.  See the Special Events page for details.

Team and Mission Kids are currently meeting together under the leadership of Randy and Renda Davenport because of decreased numbers due to children moving and graduating to the older youth group.  They still sometimes meet as separate groups.

Team Kids are for ages 3-4 through grade 2.  They meet on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 in the basement and are led by Renda Davenport and Jessica Hope.  They learn Bible stories and have fun activities as they begin learning about their Christian life.

Mission Kids are grades 3 to 5.  They  meet on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 in the basement and are led by Randy Davenport and Clay Arwood.  They study and memorize Bible verses and engages in a variety of fun activities.

The groups also sometime combine and go on adventures such as their trip to a spring and a picnic together with the Radical Generation.  All youth groups also routinely visit with the shut-in in the community.

    In addition to the weekly Team and Mission Kids activities, those interested in singing are invited to be at the church at 5:30 on the nights that the groups meet to learn new songs that they present during the worship service.  When they're not singing then they may be working on their bell chime set for special Sundays.

    The Youth Group, better known as the Radical Generation, for those aged 11-19 meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00.  They are led by Mark and Michelle Proffitt and Mike and Tina Jones.  They too engage in a variety of fun and learning activities and trips throughout the year.
