Meet Our Staff...
Rev. Kimberly S. Isley, Pastor.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Rev. Isley attended the University of Louisville as a Trustee Scholar. Upon graduation, she earned her Master of Divinity at Southern Seminary and was ordained in 1993. After completing two years as a Chaplain Resident (first at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital and then a Trauma Residency at UTMCK, both in Knoxville), Rev. Isley was appointed to the Fountain City United Methodist Church as an Associate Pastor in 1996. An Elder in Full Connection since 2000, she Pastored a circuit and individual churches before coming to Trinity in June, 2009.
In addition to a variety of District and Conference responsibilities, Kim has been active in community service, graduating from Community Leadership Knoxville, 1997 and Leadership Monroe, 1999. She has also served as a reading tutor for both elementary and GED students among other activities.
Rev. Isley is married to the Rev. Bill Beard, Pastor of Wear's Valley UMC. Kim and Bill are the parents of Kaitlin. The family resides in the Trinity UMC parsonage in Lenoir City.
Loy Anne Boncek, Music Director.
Loy Anne has a BS in Music Eduation and has been a career church musician. She live with her husband in Tellico Village. Loy is very interested in congregational participation in choir and welcomes short-term commitments for special programs, instrumental music, etc. The Trinity family is delighted that Loy is sharing her musical gifts with our congregation.
Walter Hines, Organist.
Walter Hines has been Organist at Trinity for forty years. Trinity has always been his family church, and Walter has helped maintain its historical integrity. Walter teaches social studies at Lenoir City Middle School.
Pianist.
Trinity welcomed Nancy Allen as our pianist on February 17, 2010. Nancy comes from a musical family and has been a Church Musician for many years. She is a retired Special Education teacher and also an artist with work on display at the Owl Tree Gallery in Lenoir City.
Penny Finn, Children's Director
Penny serves the children program from pre-school through 5th grade. She and husband Haven have one daughter Shelby. Penny has worked with children through the church, through the school system, and through Girl Scouts. Penny also works in the cafeteria at Lenoir City High School.
Olivia Jennings, Youth Director and Church Secretary,
Olivia staffs the Trinity UMC office from 8 am to 1 pm Tues - Friday. She meets with the Youth each week during the Sunday School hour and on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm and supervises special events for Youth. A Lenoir City resident, Olivia is married to Jeff Jennings and has two sons, Brady and William.
Gaylon McDaniel, Building and Grounds Caretaker.
Gaylon livs across the street in a previous Trinity church parsonage. His thoughtful care of the building and grounds is appreciated by the church and community.
