Announcements | Welcome to our Services! If you would like someone on the prayer team to pray with you on Sundays, please come to the chancel rail after the service. On Wednesday nights the Prayer and Healing Ministry will be receiving individuals who would like to be prayed for 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the new sanctuary.
Wednesday Night Activities: 5:00, Drama; 6:30, Jr. & Sr. Youth, Adult Bible Study, Men's Bible Study, Prayer Team. 7:30-Choir Practice. Our Wednesday Night Dinners will start back August 25. Please pick up one per family. They are in the Commons Area. Mr. Nathan Bain passed away July 21. Our deepest sympathy to David, Terri, & Daniel Bain. Mrs. Robbie Wright passed away July 23. Our deepest sympathy to Pat Wright and his family. Thanks to all of you who helped make "Written on the Rock" a success! We had 55 young VBS attendees and about 35 youth attending "VBS Extreme" and 35 adult workers. The "noisy can" offering taken up each night totaled $153.76. The VBS offering will be donated to the Holston Children's Home. You can now register for Relay for Life on line! Go to www.RelayForLife.org/dadega. Our team name is Trenton UMC. If you register before July 31 the $10 registration fee will be waive', be sure you check "Early Bird Registration”"during the registration process. Look for more information about the event in the coming weeks! Our Jr. Youth will be having another car wash Saturday, August 7, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Advanced Auto/Movie Gallery. Proceeds go towards backpacks filled with supplies for children in need at the Dade County Elementary School. Needed by Benevolence: High Chair, Fans, Window AC Units There will be no UMW meeting for the month of July due to VBS.
The "Big Fish" in the Fellowship Hall is for snack food for some school children to take home in their backpacks for the weekend. It needs to be foods that take little or no preparation such as small microwave cups, peanut butter crackers or cheese & crackers, Vienna sausage,,juice boxes, etc. This is sponsored by our UMW. Also from our Parish Nurse - Blood Assurance needs your help - There is a critical need for blood in the Chattanooga area. It is usually better to call Blood Assurance for an appointment (423-756-0916 or 1-800-962-0628), but "walk-ins" are accepted at any Blood Assurance location. Nomination Committee meeting dates: Aug. 10, Aug. 24. All will be on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the Administration Building. Coming soon: August 1 will be "Bikers Pack a Pew Sunday". The new Upper Room Devotionals are here. Feel free to take one per family. They are compliments of our UMW. A Yoga Class will be offered on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. They meet in the Men's Sunday School room upstairs. Our Joy Quilters have starting back on Friday at 10:00 a.m. to begin quilting a lap quilt. All persons who like to quilt or just have a good time of fellowship are invited to join us in the upstairs storage room.
